Aren't theese banks who BOTH received TARP money doing the same thing we accused the New York banks of doing? Getting the TARP money then buying or merging with another bank. Therefore the Taxpayer is subsidizing their merger! Union Bank Cancelled a second offering back in November once it got this TARP money!

The TARP money was supposed to go to greater Community Lending..not buying other banks..1st Market got TARP money in February 2009. What a scam by the bankers...

Not sure about that. Apparently First Market lost money in '08. Also the word is that Wegmans Food Stores out of NY is looking to buy Ukrops. Maybe the Ukrops aren't doing so well?

How lovely! The Ukrops keep getting richer and Richmond keeps getting poorer. I guess Henrico will get some more fat back in their pocket.
