hhgregg takes more old CC space

Electronics store hhgregg is turning into Circuit City incarnate. The Indianapolis-based retailer has opened one store in a former Circuit City location here and plans to have another one opened on the South Side.

And now hhgregg has leased a former Circuit City warehouse space (400,000 square feet) in Maryland, according to the Baltimore Business Journal. You can read the blurb here.

I’d be interested to know how many former Circuit City store employees the chain has hired here, and I’d also like to hear a compare-and-contrast between hhgregg and Circuit City.
