November 24, 2009 by admin

Top Notch Richmond, a leader in establishing customer service standards for business, in partnership with the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business will be hosting an event focused on the role of customer service in a changing marketplace. The event titled “Over the Top, Customer Service as a Competitive Advantage” will be held at the University of Richmond’s Weinstein Hall Brown Alley Room on Thursday, December 10th, 2009

“Over the Top” will include a panel of business owners from five local Top Notch Certified businesses.  “We have pulled together a diverse panel of speakers who have faced significant changes in the marketplace during a challenging economic climate.  Each will be discussing how customer service played a critical role in their success. This is an exciting opportunity to hear from business leaders in an open and engaging setting”, says Tom McCormick, CEO of Top Notch Richmond.

The speakers’ panel will include Randy Allen, owner of James Limousine, Monica Horsley, owner of By Invitation Only, Doug Robbins, owner of Robbins Landscaping, Ray Lepper, owner of Home Media, and Wes Estes, a real estate professional with RE/MAX.  Each speaker will be presenting on a specific aspect of the role customer service plays in their business.  The morning event will wrap up with in an open Q&A session with the panelists. “Over the Top” is designed to engage the business community in a unique setting on a very essential subject. “Every business should be constantly analyzing its customer service offering. Successful firms have discovered it can be the differentiator, especially in localized markets.  With fewer discretionary consumer dollars available today, I would argue that outstanding service is more critical now than ever. We are excited to partner with the Top Notch Richmond on such an important topic,” said Richard Coughlan, Senior Associate Dean at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.

Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 7:30a.m with the program starting at 8:00a.m. and ending at 11:00a.m. For more information and online registration (required) follow this link to the events page at TopNotchRichmond.com/OvertheTop.
