theherdagainTelemundo, the Spanish-language television station, is moving to Richmond and hired Nicole Quiroga as station manager and Carolina Rinck as director of sales and marketing.

Susan Reid
has joined Evolve Architecture as director of business development. Reid was previously a sales manager for Atlantic Corporate Interiors.

Kelly Eakin
has joined St. Joseph’s Villa as its new Director of Developmental Disability Services. Eakin will oversee both the Sarah Dooley Center for Autism and the Villa’s Day Support Service, which provides after-school, in-home and weekend respite services. She holds a master’s degree from Western Maryland College and a B.A. from Washington College.

Rebekah Closs joined the marketing firm PUNCH as an account manager. Closs holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in design management from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Boards:

Richard Brown, the CEO at Performance Fibers, has joined the board of Ferro Corp., which is a Cleveland-based maker of specialty chemicals.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has elected officers for 2009-10:

Chairman: John Lucas
A senior vice president with RBC Wealth Management, Lucas has been with the Business Council since its inception in 2003, and he has been a driving force behind the development of the VMFA Muse Awards program, which will celebrate its sixth anniversary next year.

Vice chairman: Eric Taylor
Taylor is a national sales manager with Genworth Financial. Eric has been a member of the Business Council since 2006, and most recently chaired the VMFA Muse Awards Nominations Committee – overseeing the review of all applications, reaching out to chambers of commerce to encourage statewide participation in the Muse Awards, and providing overall guidance to refining the Muse Awards process.

Secretary: Maggi Beckstoffer
Beckstoffer is the president and owner of MBM Marketing, an award-winning strategic marketing and consulting agency headquartered in Richmond’s Scotts Addition neighborhood. Maggi co-chaired the fifth annual Muse Awards Un-Gala on April 30, 2009, which celebrated VMFA, its illustrious history, and the bright future that’s in store when the expanded galleries and campus are unveiled next year.

Treasurer: John Cole Scott
Scott is in charge of business development, operations and compliance for Closed-End Fund Advisors, and is a Certified Fund Specialist. His deep connections in the business community and enthusiasm for VMFA have helped to attract many new members to the Business Council.
