The Herd: Promotions and New Hires for 12.23.09

New Hires:
Marylaurel (Lauri) Wilks joined Richmond International Raceway as vice president of marketing. Most recently, Wilks served as president for her own consulting business and assisted Wray Ward in its bid to become the advertising agency of record for the NASCAR Hall of Fame. She also worked at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., overseeing the speedway’s executive team and administration of the facility’s day-to-day operations. A native of Jackson, Mich., Wilks received her bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Cedar Crews College and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. Wilks will assume her new role at RIR on Jan. 7.

Promotions:
Chuck Ellsworth has been promoted to senior vice president and Greg Creswell has been promoted to senior associate at Grubb & Ellis | Harrison & Bates.
