What were the biggest business news events/ideas of the year?

This might be the most unofficial request for nominations you ever see.

We will be running several stories next week reflecting on the year’s biggest news events and the people behind them. On Tuesday we will likely run the Top 10 business events of the year. Then on Wednesday we will have the business innovators of 2009.  Later in the week or maybe the following week, we will have a story on trends to watch in 2010.
