Office Sense: Pods for lawyers?

January 19, 2010 by admin

When you step inside the law firm Gregory Kaplan, you get the sense that maybe the firm’s principals are almost as passionate about architecture and development as the law. Rick Gregory, who showed us around, is also a partner in Fountainhead Development, which owns about 24 city blocks.

The law firm has 35 employees, including 24 lawyers, and specializes in real estate and securities.

[...] Richmond BizSense.com takes us inside the law firm Gregory Kaplan which is located at 7 East Second Street in Manchester. A nice blending of old and new. It is nice to see old buildings re-purposed instead of torn down. Posted by Richard.H at 9:47AM under development | Tags: Manchester [...]

Nice piece Rich BizSense, keep up the good work. The space was designed by SMBW Architects of Richmond.

The Gregory Kaplan Law Firm has done an incredible job of trying the old with the new in this building not to mention the artwork gracing the space. Hats off!!!

I enjoyed the video tour of this space – thanks Richmond BizSense. I had heard that this was a very well-designed and innovative project, but I had not had the opportunity to see the inside of the building until now. Gregory Kaplan and SMBW Architects should be commended for an outstanding project that exhibits the best in sustainable design and adaptive reuse.
