We need to pass the word around for Daylight Donuts. The donuts are quite good — competitive with any donut shop. And the cause is one we need to support as a community! The owners are great people with a great mission. Not only does this business provide job training opportunities and employment for folks with disabilities, it is also exposing a bunch of teens and other adults to an inclusive world that includes great people who happen to have a disability.

Let’s help them make it in the West End!!

These donuts are wonderful!! The pinecone, bear claw and blueberry are amazing. The iced coffee is high on my list as well. I am looking forward to many, many more visits to this wonderful donut shop. Keep up the great work.

These donuts are great! The apple fritters are out of this world and the sausage rolls are unbelievable. The fruit-filled and cake donuts are all sensational. Didn’t know donuts could be so good. I really liked Daylight when we stopped by, but I am even more inclined to return often now that I know what a great idea the operators have.

Great story. This has a shot a being a win-win. Ellis and Elwood deserve to make a buck on this. If their employees work out–and I bet they will–the $49,000 from the government will be repaid several times over in taxes and less spent on care.

One question remains, however: Are the donuts any good? If they are, that’s another win.
