Local startup gets some big exposure

CarLotz has been on a media blitz lately.

After first getting mentioned in a New York Times blog post last week, the founder and CEO of the used car consignment startup took to the airwaves for his first television appearance.

Michael Bor made it on the big screen on the Fox Business channel on Tuesday discussing trends in the used car industry. Check out the clip here.

Bor told BizSense that the exposure helped bring visitors from around the country to the CarLotz website.

CarLotz launched in April after Bor left his investment banking career at Harris Williams & Co. to live out his entrepreneurial aspirations.

The company opened its first car lot on Midlothian Turnpike in June.
