Can you park here?

BizSense Staff September 30, 2011 2

This is the alley behind the Martin Agency.

It seems reasonable to think you could park here, as there is room enough and no No Parking signs on the right hand side.

But for some reason I get the feeling that the No Parking sign on the left applies, even though there is no way to see it if you were contemplating parking where the car is in the picture. Chances are a driver wouldn’t see it turning right from Canal Street.

So what is the verdict? Any readers out there park here before with no problem? Or anyone park here and get towed?

I use the logic that if it looks like free, unoccupied, and accessible parking, it’s probably illegal.

Wouldn’t parking next to TMA’s building block the two-way traffic coming from the parking garage?
