Departures

Tom Bowden has left Sands Anderson, where he was an attorney.

Real estate

Stephen Kittrell joined Dodson Properties as a property manager. Kittrell recently worked for Monroe Properties.

Sarah Petty joined Dodson Properties as a property manager. Petty most recently worked for Snipes Properties.

Josh Romano recently joined Dodson Properties as a buyer’s agent. Romano was previously with Oakstone Properties.

Banking/finance

Kenneth E. Powell joined U.S. Trust, a division of Bank of America, as a senior vice president and adviser.

Technology

Lisa Cuomo has joined Networking Technologies and Support as a computer technician.

Robert Drummond recently joined Networking Technologies and Support as a service coordinator.

Advertising/marketing/public relations

Katie Lackey has joined the Frontier Project as a consultant. She was previously with abcReps.com. She received her bachelor’s in business at James Madison University.

Also joining the Frontier Project as a consultant is Ibrahim Abdul-Matin.  He is the former sustainability policy adviser to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Ibrahim received a B.S. at the University of Rhode Island and an MPA at Baruch College-CUNY.

Several employees received promotions at Neathawk Dubuque & Packett. Brent Morris was promoted from media director to vice president of media services. He will join the agency’s senior leadership team.

Jason Anderson, creative director, will join the agency’s senior leadership team.

Shaun Amanda Herrmann was promoted from account supervisor to associate director of social media.

Shannon Burnett was promoted from account coordinator to account executive.

Industry groups

Wayne R. Crewe is the new membership development consultant at the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. He was most recently a commercial loan officer with REDC Capital Community Group. Crewe is a graduate of Virginia State University.

Jeffrey M. Szyperski has been named chairman of the Richmond-based Virginia Bankers Association. Szyperski is chairman, president and chief executive of Chesapeake Bank in Kilmarnock. He succeeds William Couper, mid-Atlantic president of Bank of America. Szyperski is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Gary R. Shook, president and chief executive of Middleburg Bank, has been named chairman-elect of the Richmond-based Virginia Bankers Association. He’ll begin his term in 2013. Shook has a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
