Ledbury founders find some TV fame

A local startup got some national press Tuesday morning.

Paul Trible and Paul Watson, co-founders of the Shockoe Bottom shirt maker Ledbury, appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

The weekday morning talk show featured the high-end men’s-clothing company because of its success amid a sluggish economy. Ledbury averages a growth rate of about 200 percent per year, Trible said during the program.

“It’s a simple business,” Trible said. “It’s shirts. If we make them fit better, feel better and last longer, then we can really have a business.”

Ledbury closed in fall 2012 on a $1.65 million capital campaign.

So surprised they didn’t mention that the shirts are made in Poland.
