The newest gym in town is being greeted with some muscle from the competition.

Gold’s Gym has staked out a space in the Brook Run North shopping center on Brook Road, barely a block away the city’s first Fitness Evolution, which moved into the adjacent shopping center this month.

Gold’s has seven other locations in the Richmond area, including gyms in the Fan and the Willow Lawn Shopping Center.

And don’t forget that American Family will be opening back up in March with a temporary location in the former Old Navy space at VCC and a permanent space in the fall in the former Dillard’s.
