Justin Phillips joined Long & Foster’s Tuckahoe office.

The Shockoe Company announced the following hires:

Rowland Williams III will lead the brokerage division. He has 30 years of industry experience and spent 11 years with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer.

Marty Mooradian joined the brokerage division after 11 years as a political operative.

Matt Mullett joined the Shockoe Company after 15 years with Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company. He has a background in sales and marketing.

John Adams was appointed chairman of the VCU Brandcenter’s Board of Directors. Adams is a 40-year advertising veteran and chairman of the Martin Agency. He succeeds Mike Hughes, who held the role for 20 years.

Edward E. “Ted” Raspiller will become the seventh president of John Tyler Community College beginning Aug. 5. Raspiller is currently president of the Brazos County Campuses at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas.

Hunton & Williams promoted the following attorneys to partner:

David S. Freed focuses on corporate finance, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.

Kevin M. Georgerian represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and corporate governance and securities law matters.

Trevor K. Ross advises on corporate finance, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.

Eric J. Nedell focuses on commercial lending, including the representation of borrowers and lenders in debt originations, restructurings and re-financings.

Ryan A. Becker is a commercial litigator who focuses on structured finance, complex consumer finance and business litigation.

William L. Newton focuses on domestic and international energy projects.

Eric R. Pogue represents clients in the development, financing and acquisition of a variety of energy and infrastructure projects.

Andrew J. Turner concentrates on issues relating to wetlands, protected species and other matters issues arising under the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act and the National Environment Policy Act.

Daniel E. Uyesato handles U.S. and international regulatory matters, focusing on chemical and other product regulation and environment health and safety issues.

Amos W. Barclay was also promoted to counsel. He concentrates on corporate finance, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.

Devin Heath joined Richmond Region Tourism as the vice president of sales and services. Heath comes to Richmond Region Tourism from the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa in Short Pump, where he served as general manager beginning in 2009.

Liza Salaria joined Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores as senior vice president of merchandising. Salaria joins MACS from Giant Eagle, where she served as senior director of merchandising for the GetGo convenience store business since 2003.

MaryJo M. Steinmetz has been promoted to regional marketing strategist for MetLife‘s southern region. She was previously the marketing director for the Richmond and Virginia Beach offices.
