John Woodruff joined Create Digital as director of client service. Woodruff was previously account director of integrated marketing at IMC Marketing in Detroit. He has more than 15 years of experience in agency account direction for such clients as Cadillac, SAAB, Miller Brewing, and McDonalds.

Brad Perry joined Create Digital as a strategist. Perry is a recent graduate of VCU’s Brandcenter, and he has more than 10 years of experience in data analysis and strategic planning for nonprofit organizations.

Liza Brings joined Create Digital as director of analytics. Brings was previously a data analyst at Swedish Match. She has more than two decades of experience in developing and interpreting complex analytical and financial strategies in both agency and corporate settings.

Ben Burkett has been promoted to assistant vice president. He is a mortgage loan officer based in Richmond and has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Consulting

Christopher Mondoux joined Assura as a cyber-security consultant. Prior to joining Assura, Mondoux was a cyber-security analyst at General Electric and Scott & Stringfellow. He is a Regis University graduate.

Construction

Emerald Construction Company  announced the following hires:

Robert M. Skipper was hired as director of pre-construction. Skipper has more than 20 years of estimating, project management and business development experience in the commercial construction industry.

Tyler Atkins was hired as assistant project manager. Atkins is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is a LEED Green Associate.

Higher education

The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors announced four new members following their appointments by Gov. Bob McDonnell.

Nancy C. Everett is managing director for BlackRock and head of U.S. Fiduciary Management Solutions. Everett, a VCU accounting graduate, is a founding member of the VCU School of Business Foundation.

John W. Snow is chairman of Cerberus Capital Management. Snow served as secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush. He also was chairman and chief executive of CSX Corporation.

George Richard “Rick” Wagoner is former chairman and chief executive of General Motors. Wagoner served as former chair of the Duke University Board of Trustees and is a member of several international business advisory boards.

Steve Worley is president and chief executive of Louisiana Children’s Medical Center, which includes Children’s Hospital, New Orleans. Worley graduated from VCU with a B.S. in business management and a master’s degree in business administration.

Jeannea Spence joined Richmond 2015 to head its global development efforts. Spence is a leadership development coach at indiSPENCEable Coaching, which she founded in 2011.

Beacon Tree Foundation has elected new officers. Michael Dalton is the vice president, and Anne Moss Rogers has been elected secretary. The foundation provides information and support for families with children who have mental health issues.
