Plaintiff says Ang, also a teller, began making unwelcome and sexually offensive comments and dispensing “hugs” and alleges other workers were encouraged to treat her with disrespect. Plaintiff says she requested a transfer but Melcher said he would not help her while indicating he was aware of Ang’s behavior. Melcher did not make any move to report the behavior until her boyfriend, plaintiff says, confronted Melcher. Plaintiff alleges sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge in violation of the Civil Rights Act, negligent retention, assault, and battery and seeks damages of $850,000.
