When police arrived, defendant procured plaintiff’s arrest and he was transported to Richmond City Jail, first stopping at Medical College of Virginia for treatment. Plaintiff says he was imprisoned for two days before a bond hearing, that the charge was nolle prosequi, and that defendant ultimately pleaded guilty to unlawful obstruction of justice by force. Plaintiff alleges assault, battery, unlawful arrest and malicious prosecution and seeks compensatory damages of $10 million and punitive damages of $5 million.
