System and method for progressive transitions portfolio investment management
Patent No. 8,732,060
The present invention discloses a system and a method providing for a progressive transition of the holdings within a portfolio that takes periodic gains as the market rises and utilizes a portion of those gains to buy back in as the market falls while providing for a gradual reduction in the volatility of the portfolio. Many existing systems only allow one stop-loss or trailing stop-loss value to be used resulting in the complete liquidation of the investment once the target value is breached while some  newer systems involve the use of two or more different protection levels per security, some of which  may adjusted to reflect market performance and some of which may be essentially fixed. As will be  appreciated by those in the art, the various systems may be adjusted to reflect the financial goals and risk tolerance of particular clients.

Process for the preparation of polyalkenyl succinic anhydrides
Patent No. 8,728,995
A polyalkenyl succinic anhydride is prepared with low amounts of resinous or chlorinated byproducts  in a two-step process whereby a polyalkene is first reacted with an unsaturated organic acid in a thermal ene reaction, followed with exposure to a gaseous halogen in presence of an additional amount of the unsaturated organic acidic reagent. The foregoing process produces a polyisobutenyl succinic
anhydride having a high ratio of succinic anhydride functional groups to polyisobutenyl backbone groups. Such a polyisobutenyl succinic anhydride is particular suitable for the production of oil-soluble hydrocarbyl succinimides that have good dispersant properties when added to lubricating oil compositions.

Coaxial catheter systems for transference of medium
Patent No. 8,728,053
A method, technique and system is disclosed for the delivery of therapeutic agents and/or into the bulk brain tissues and other parts, tissues and organs of the body, including vasculature. A novel form of coaxial catheter provides a means for implanting an outer tube into the brain, then inserting an inner tube into the outer tube and aligning them such that port holes on both of the tubes will overlap and permit a flux
of the therapeutic agent to flow into the brain in such a way as to minimize the effects of trapped air, virtually eliminate backflow of the agent, and avoid the potential for additional damage to the brain since only one surgical placement of the outer tube is needed. Similarly, the method, technique system may be utilized to remove fluids or other medium from the brain, tissues, and organs to minimize the effects of escaped air or negative pressure.

Method and apparatus for the production of high tenacity polyolefin sheet
Patent No. 8,734,700
A process for the production of virtually full density polyolefin suitable for further processing by drawing to form a high tenacity, highly oriented polyolefin sheet comprising: a) feeding a metered amount of polyolefin powder into the nip between two vertically stacked and heated calender rolls through application of the polyolefin powder to the apex of the topmost of the two heated calender rolls; b) rolling the powder through the nip until a coherent sheet of polyolefin sheet is produced: and c) once a coherent polyolefin sheet exits the nip adjusting the temperature in the nip to obtain specific tensile and elongation properties. Apparatus for the performance of such a process is also described.
